The Platte County Planning & Zoning Commission is a five-member board appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Commission members serve three-year terms. The Planning & Zoning Commission hears requests made by the public for uses of land, divisions of land, and to consider changes in zoning. After hearing those requests, the Commission is tasked with providing a recommendation of whether the requests should be granted, or not, to the Board of County Commissioners and whether those granted should have conditions attached. In order to be heard by the Planning & Zoning Commission please apply through the Planning Office by visiting their website.
The Planning Commission meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month. To see what date and time the Commission meets, please visit the Planning & Zoning Calendar.
