Job Title: Truck Driver/Laborer
Salary range: $3,000 ($17.31 per hour) up to $3,700 ($21.35 per hour)

Job Description:
The Platte County Road and Bridge is looking for a Truck driver / laborer in Wheatland, to perform various maintenance duties under limited supervision to provide safe and effective transportation throughout Platte County.
Example of Duties:
Duties include but are not limited to and may vary from time to time and are at the discretion of the Road and Bridge Superintendent and Foreman.
Expectations:
Knowledge and Skills:
Class A CDL: Applicants should possess a current Class A CDL or be able to obtain training for one at the first availability of training.
If an applicant does not possess a Class A CDL the county will pay for training and the applicant must be willing to sign a two-year work contract with the county upon completion of CDL training.
Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with general public at times explaining job site duties, field complaints, and traffic control.
Safety mindset: ensuring safety for general public and co-workers on job sites.
Other Skills: Ability to utilize a cell phone, keep inventory of materials utilized on a jobsite, and follow directions.
