Youth Services Program

Juvenile Justice

The Platte County Sheriff’s Office and Platte County Attorney’s Office created the Platte County Youth Service Board in 2023. Deputy County Attorney Marel Bunker-Roth and Sheriff Russell created this program to give youths alternative methods other than just simply going to court or a detention facility. The Youth Services Board provides probation services for Circuit, and CHINS/Truancy through Juvenile Court. The probation is a one-time opportunity for youth to complete a minimal probation plan which is dependent on the youth through the Platte County Sheriff’s Office. The SROs act as the probation officer and work with the youth to complete the program.
