Involvement with the Community
The Platte County Sheriff’s Office is proud to participate in a variety of community events that allow us to engage with the public on a more personal level. These opportunities not only strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the community but also allow us to actively contribute to the well-being and safety of the families we serve. Through our involvement in these events, we strive to build trust, foster positive connections, and support local initiatives that promote a stronger, more unified community.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Office, Wyoming Highway Patrol, Wheatland Police Department, and Wyoming State Parks are honored to collaborate with families in our community, particularly those with underprivileged children who may face limited opportunities. Through initiatives like Shop with a Cop, we aim to strengthen community ties and support these families. Our law enforcement agencies are dedicated to ensuring a positive and memorable experience for the children involved. In partnership with Boomgars in Wheatland, this program allows children in need to select and purchase Christmas gifts, bringing joy and hope to families during the holiday season.
