Civil Process

Civil Papers

The Platte County Sheriff’s Office serves civil papers to individuals residing within Platte County.

The following documents are required:

• Payment for service of $50 per person being served in the form of cash, personal check, cashier’s check, or money order payable to the Platte County Sheriff’s Office
• Original document with Return of Service (this document will be returned with a completed Return of Service once it has been delivered to the appropriate parties)
• Self-addressed stamped envelope for the Original document and Return of Service
• Copies of all documents that need to be served

Eviction Notices

Notice to Quit/Eviction Notice forms can be picked up at our office if being served by the Platte County Sheriff’s Office.

The fee for service of these notices is also $50.
