Resolutions are formal documents that make a statement about an issue that is so important that the board wants to have a record of it. A motion, second, and favorable vote of a majority of the board members is required to pass a resolution. Once passed, resolutions are entered into the Commissioner minutes to be recorded in perpetuity. A resolution is required any time the budget of the county is adopted or amended.
