Marriage Licenses are required pursuant to Wyoming State Statute §20-1-103. In order to obtain a marriage license in Platte County, both parties involved in the marriage must appear in our office with their photo identification. Once that license has been issued the parties involved have one year to be married or else the license is no longer valid. Further, that license is only valid within the State of Wyoming. After the parties are wed the license must be returned to the Platte County Clerk's Office.
