Welcome To The Platte County Planning & Zoning Office!

The Planning & Zoning Department in Platte County is a shared office with the Town of Wheatland. The Planning Department oversees development and use on private lands and private uses on public lands in the unincorporated areas of the county, primarily through zoning and subdivision regulations. The Planning Department promotes land usage in a safe, effective manner, minimizing conflicting land uses in an economically viable fashion.

The Planning Department is responsible for reviewing project plans and issuing appropriate permits and zoning certificates throughout the County.

Planning & Zoning Meeting's

The Planning & Zoning Board meets on the Wednesday before the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM. The meetings are held in the Commissioner's Room in the basement of the courthouse.
